Frank Lampard is set to continue his career in the MLS with New York City FC.

The England midfielder parted ways with Chelsea at the end of last season following the expiration of his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Now he is set to continue his career in America and will, according to the BBC, complete his move to New York City FC next week.

New York City FC join the MLS next year, meaning Lampard may decide to head out on loan until then.

Fellow New York City FC player, David Villa, is spending time on loan in Australia to keep his fitness levels up, after joining the club from Atletico Madrid.
