Alexandre Lacazette has ruled out leaving Lyon this summer, despite being linked with a whole host of clubs, including Liverpool.

Lyon are desperate to keep hold of the forward and president Jean-Michel Aulas revealed last week that the club have offered the player a new contract to ensure he stays put at the Stade Gerland.

And that suits Lacazette, who is planning on remaining a Lyon player in 2014/15, with the forward's comments set to delight the club.

"I will leave the president to discuss [the contract] with my agent", Lacazette told Canal + following Lyon's friendly against Shakhtar Donetsk.

"But I'm staying at OL.

"I want to continue my association with OL."

Lacazette, who was linked with Liverpool following their failure to sign Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona, hit 15 goals in Ligue 1 for Les Gones last term.

News that the 23-year-old intends to stay put with the club will be a big boost ahead of the new campaign.
