Germany World Cup winner Christoph Kramer has admitted that there has been contact with Napoli about a switch, something he finds tempting on account of Rafael Benitez being in charge of the Italian side.

Kramer helped Germany to the World Cup this summer and has been basking in international success. But his development has not gone unnoticed, with speculation Napoli want to sign him.

The 23-year-old defensive midfielder is under contract to Bayer Leverkusen, but last year was sent to Borussia Monchengladbach on a two-year loan, where he has flourished.

Asked about the Napoli chatter by German daily Bild, Kramer replied: "There has been contact.

"Such an offer is always interesting, especially because I regard the coach highly."

However, he is not thinking of being anywhere else than Gladbach's Borussia-Park for the new campaign yet.

"But this question does not come up for me at the moment, actually", Kramer added.
