New Bari signing Jonathan Rossini insists he has forgotten criticism from Leeds United president Massimo Cellino and simply could not refuse the chance to join the Galletti.

Leeds negotiated an agreement with Sassuolo and Rossini headed to join their Italy training camp. It appeared he was a Leeds player, but at the last minute the deal fell apart, with Cellino blasting the defender's attitude and suggesting his heart was not in the move.

And it appears that may have been because of interest from Bari, as Rossini insists he did not think twice when the chance to join the Serie B outfit appeared.

"I was going to sign for Leeds, I had the green light from Sassuolo to go and train with them, but then, suddenly, I heard the news of Bari's interest", Rossini told PugliaGol.

"I did not sign and I came here in a hurry.

"Cellino's comments annoyed me, but it's in the past.

"I could not refuse such a proposal."

Rossini lands at Bari on a season-long loan from Sassuolo, with the Serie B side having an option to transform that into a permanent move should he impress.
