Manchester United have announced the departure of veteran left-back Patrice Evra, who is joining Juventus.

Evra agreed a contract with Juventus earlier this summer, leaving the Italian side to do a deal with Manchester United to sign the 33-year-old.

They have quickly done just that, with the Red Devils confirming that, after eight-and-a-half years, Evra's time at Old Trafford is up.

Manchester United announced: "Patrice Evra is leaving Manchester United and has agreed to join Juventus after eight-and-a-half years at Old Trafford, the club has confirmed."

And Evra himself was keen to bid farewell to Manchester United, the club at which he won the Premier League title five times.
