Swansea City full-back Ben Davies is set to undergo medical at Tottenham Hotspur this week, according to the BBC.

The 21-year-old left the Swans’ pre-season tour of the United States early to have a medical at White Hart Lane, with Gylfi Sigurdsson potentially moving in the opposite direction as part of the deal.

Liverpool were also interested in the youngster, but it looks like Spurs have beaten Reds to the signing of the left-back, who has a further three years left on his present contract with the Welsh club.

The left-back is a product of Swansea’s youth set-up and made his first-team debut for the club in 2012.

Davies, who has made 85 appearances in all competitions for the Liberty Stadium outfit, has 10 senior caps for Wales to his name.

Apart from Davies, Tottenham are also interested in signing Swansea goalkeeper Michael Vorm.

The 30-year-old Dutch international’s future at the club is in doubt following the Swans’ signing of Arsenal custodian Lukasz Fabianski this summer.
