Real Madrid are ready to offload both Sami Khedira and Angel di Maria to finance the arrival of James Rodriguez from Monaco.

Los Blancos are splashing out around €75m to sign the Colombian World Cup sensation, with Rodriguez currently undergoing a medical at Real Madrid's medical facilities.

When the forward's signature is done and dusted, president Florentino Perez will turn his attention to recouping funds.

According to Spanish daily El Mundo Deportivo, it is Khedira and Di Maria who are on the chopping block, with both having attracted interest, not least from Arsenal (for Khedira), and Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United (for Di Maria).

However, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is still hoping to keep hold of Di Maria.

The Italian tactician is making his case strongly to Perez, arguing that he requires Di Maria for the upcoming campaign and does not consider the Argentine winger dispensable.

It remains to be seen if Ancelotti will win the battle and keep Di Maria, but the future for Khedira looks clearer.

The Germany midfielder has just one year left on his contract and has so far not reached an agreement on an extension, something which has pushed Real Madrid to look for a sale.
