France Under-21 coach Pierre Mankowski believes that Paul Pogba has progressed his career quickly by taking risks, with the biggest one being to leave Manchester United.

Pogba stunned the Red Devils by refusing to extend his contract at the club in 2012, instead opting to leave to sign for Italian giants Juventus.

The midfielder has flourished in Italy however, collecting two Italian titles so far, breaking into the senior France squad and being rated as one of the most talented young players in world football.

And for Mankowski, the 21-year-old has developed so quickly by taking risks, something he believes is in Pogba's character.

"While Paul Pogba had already joined the France team before the Under-20 World Cup, he continued his impressive momentum", Mankowski told France Football.
