Serie A side Sampdoria have completed the capture of Spanish midfielder Jose Campana from Crystal Palace.

The player has arrived at Sampdoria on a permanent basis and exits the Premier League club he joined from Sevilla in 2013.

Campana penned a four-year deal with Crystal Palace upon his arrival, but struggled to cement a regular spot in the side.

He was sent on loan to German side 1.FC Nurnberg for the latter half of last season, but the Franconian outfit did not move to keep him following their relegation from the Bundesliga.

Sampdoria announced: "UC Sampdoria announces that it has acquired, outright from Crystal Palace FC, the sporting rights of the player Jose Angel Gomez Campana."
