Leeds United are having trouble closing a deal for Italian midfielder Federico Viviani.

An agreement to take Viviani from Roma on loan for the 2014/15 campaign had appeared to be done and dusted, with the player choosing the Yorkshire giants ahead of Latina Calcio, with who he spent the latter half of last season on loan.

Viviani has been meeting Leeds officials today with his representatives but, according to Sky Italia, talks have hit an unspecified hitch.

There are a number of unspecified issues complicating Viviani's move to Elland Road and the midfielder will hold another round of talks with Leeds this evening.

Leeds are thought to have already prepared a contract for Viviani, but now a final push is needed to secure the 22-year-old.
