Edinson Cavani thinks it is likely he will remain at Paris Saint-Germain for the upcoming season, as he feels coach Laurent Blanc will change his tactics.

Cavani was snapped up by PSG last summer from Italian side Napoli for a fee of €64.5m and picked up the Ligue 1 title in his first campaign at the Parc des Princes.

However, the Uruguayan was unhappy at being shunted out of position to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic and has been strongly linked with an exit this summer, Manchester United the most consistently mooted destination for the hitman.

And while Cavani can offer no guarantees he won't end up at Old Trafford, he feels the most likely option is a PSG stay.

"I am at Paris, I think I will stay here, but you never know with the transfer window", Cavani told Uruguayan outlet Ovacion Digital.

"There was a discussion with Laurent Blanc before the end of the season and I think there will be a new tactical scheme this season", the striker added.

Cavani will still have time to push for a transfer if he is unhappy with the way PSG set up this season, as the French league starts on 8th August, several weeks before the window slams shut.
