Germany manager Joachim Low has dismissed speculation he could stand down from his post following the country's World Cup win.

Low recently led Germany to success at the World Cup in Brazil, seeing his side thrash the hosts 7-1 in the semi-finals before beating Argentina 1-0 in the final.

He signed a contract running through until the 2016 European Championship before the tournament, but there had been suggestions that he could stand down and go out on a high.

But the 54-year-old, who served as Jurgen Klinsmann's assistant in 2006, has committed to at least seeing out his contract.

"I can think of nothing better than continuing to work with this team", he told the DFB (German FA) site.

"The 2014 World Cup was a high point for us all, but it was not the end point.

"We celebrated a big success in Brazil, but there are further goals that we want to achieve."

Low's side will lock horns with Argentina once again in an international friendly on 3rd September in Dusseldorf, in a repeat of the World Cup final.
