Premier League new boys Leicester City have announced the signing of striker Leonardo Ulloa from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 27-year-old striker joins the Foxes for an undisclosed fee, signing a four-year contract with Nigel Pearson's side.

The player will be part of the squad touring Thailand and might feature in Sunday's pre-season friendly against Everton.

During his 18-month-long stay at the Falmer Stadium, Ulloa managed a total of 58 appearances, scoring 26 goals, proving to be an indispensable part of Brighton's attacking play.

“We identified Leo as a player that could help us move forward quite some time ago", Pearson told his club's official site while speaking about their latest recruitment.

"He complements the forwards we already have very well and his attributes broaden the options available to us, which will be important this season.

"I’m delighted we’ve been able to add him to the squad.

“He has adapted extremely well to the English game in a relatively short period of time and I’m sure he will have a great deal to offer us in the Premier League.”
