Romelu Lukaku has been training with former club Anderlecht as he bids to keep himself in peak condition ahead of the new season.

The striker is under contract with Chelsea, but has spent the last two seasons on loan away from Stamford Bridge and is again looking for the exit door as he seeks to ensure regular first team football.

He has been given an extended break by Chelsea due to his participation in the World Cup with Belgium, but has been training with Anderlecht in recent days, according to Belgian broadcaster RTBF.

Lukaku is officially due to report back for Chelsea duty on 30th July.

The striker has been linked with a number of clubs this summer, including Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is expected to favour sending Lukaku abroad if he does part with the powerful Belgium international, rather than bolstering domestic rivals.

No concrete moves are believed to have yet been made for the former Everton man though.
