Benfica are interested in signing Javi Garcia from Manchester City on a season-long loan deal.

The Spaniard joined Manchester City in the summer of 2012 from the Eagles on a five-year contract.

Garcia has failed to pin-down a place in the Citizens’ starting eleven however, and made only 14 Premier League starts last season.

The Portuguese outfit are keen to bring him back to the club and are exploring options to sign the Spaniard this summer.

Benfica are looking to sign him on a season-long loan deal from the English champions, according to Portuguese daily Record.
