New recruit Diego Costa will do superbly well at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas believes.

Both Costa and Fabregas left Spain to team-up for Jose Mourinho's side next season.




While for Fabregas it is a second stint in England, Costa arrives for the first time and will have expectation to deal with, after being successful with Atletico Madrid last term.

Costa's national team-mate however is fully confident about his abilities and knows that the striker will be able to become successful in the Premier League.

"Diego has been progressing immensely in the last couple of years", Fabregas told his club's official site.

Speaking about Costa's abilities to go behind the defence, Fabregas said: "He goes behind the defence and he makes the kind of runs players like me really like because it gives you an option to play the killer ball.

"I think he will do superbly here."

The Pensioners will kick off their domestic campaign against Premier League newcomers Burnley on 18th August.
