Roma are considering a possible swoop for Tottenham Hotspur defender Vlad Chiriches as they look to bolster their options ahead of the new season.
The Giallorossi are keen to snap up another centre-back and have been battling city rivals Lazio for Cagliari's Davide Astori.
However, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Chiriches is also on Roma's list as a potential signing, with the Giallorossi feeling he may be open to heading to Serie A.
Chiriches joined Tottenham last summer from Romanian giants Steaua Bucharest.
The centre-back saw his debut campaign with the White Hart Lane outfit disrupted by injury, as he suffered with back problems.

Chiriches ended the campaign having made 17 appearances in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old is locked down on a contract with Spurs until 2018 and it remains to be seen if the north London side will consider selling Chiriches this summer.
