Divock Origi has flown to the United States to undergo a medical with Liverpool ahead of a move to the Premier League runners-up.

Brendan Rodgers' men have thrashed out a fee with Origi's French club side Lille, with an agreement that the striker will spend next season back at the club on loan, before moving to Anfield in 2015.

Atletico Madrid were linked with Origi earlier today, but it appears Liverpool have held firm and Origi is almost through the door.

According to French sports daily L'Equipe, Origi has now flown to the United States, where Liverpool are on a pre-season tour, and where he will complete his medical before putting pen to paper.

The striker is set to sign on the dotted line for Liverpool for a period of five years.
