New Chelsea signing Diego Costa has revealed that it was an easy decision for him to join the Premier League giants.

The 25-year-old, who scored 36 goals in all competitions for Atletico Madrid in the 2013/14 campaign, joined the Blues from Los Rojiblancos on a five-year deal this summer.




And Costa insisted that joining Chelsea was a straightforward choice for him as the Stamford Bridge outfit boast the best players and the best manager in the world.

The striker, who represented Spain in the recently concluded World Cup, further added that he believes Chelsea are the club where he can not only grow as a player, but also as an individual.
 


“It was an easy decision for me to make”, he explained to Chelsea’s official site.

“I want to improve, not only as a player but as an individual, and I believe this is the perfect place for me to do that. That’s the reason I chose Chelsea and why I want to defend this shirt.”

Costa, who scored 64 goals in 134 appearances in all competitions for Atletico Madrid, is believed to have cost Chelsea around €38m, which was his release clause at the Vicente Calderon.
