Liverpool are expected to complete the signing of Lille striker Divock Origi later today, with the Belgium international being put through his medical paces at the club's Boston training base.

Should Origi pass his medical checks, he will put pen to paper with Liverpool later today, according to French sports daily L'Equipe.

The deal on the table for the Belgium international is a five-year agreement, a sign of how highly Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers rates him.

Origi will return to Lille for a further season, on loan, before heading to Anfield in 2015 to link up with Rodgers' men.

Lille have been insistent that Origi spend a further season in France and Liverpool have accepted that as a condition of any deal.
