Arsenal legend Thierry Henry believes that his former club have a bright future ahead as there are a lot of good young players coming through.

The Gunners will take on Henry's current side New York Red Bulls later today, in the US as part of their pre-season preparations.

And though the 36-year-old's loyalty now rests with the MLS side, he still feels a certain affinity for his former club and is excited to see the progress of young players at Emirates.

"Arsenal have a lot of good players, young players in the squad coming through", Henry told Arsenal's official site.

"You will see them on Saturday.

"Everyone expects the big names but there are a lot of young and good players that you don’t see during the year because sometimes they go out on loan to get some minutes.

"But I can tell you they have a lot of quality in that squad. Hopefully we won't see too much of that on Saturday, but it is good for the club."

The former French international played a total of 376 matches for Arsenal in two spells and managed a total of 228 goals for Arsene Wenger's team.
