Inter have not yet spoken to Fredy Guarin's representatives about a move to Manchester United for their client, something which suggests a swap for Javier Hernandez is some way off.

The Nerazzurri are thinking about proposing to swap the players to Manchester United, fully aware the Red Devils are firm fans of Guarin, a player they were linked with in January, while Hernandez is eager for regular first team football in 2014/15, which Inter can provide.

However, the deal is some way off being completed as, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Guarin's representatives have not yet been consulted over a possible move for their client.

Guarin has had proposals from Wolfsburg and Zenit St. Petersburg, but has knocked them back. The Colombia international would take a very different view on an approach from Manchester United though.

Guarin signed a new deal with Inter in March, upping his salary to €2.8m per year, plus bonuses, and ending a turbulent period which saw him almost leave the club.

It could prove to have been a temporary reprieve though if Inter do indeed agree a swap deal with Manchester United.

Both Inter and Manchester United are currently competing in the International Champions Cup in the United States.
