According to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon has been spotted with Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini and two agents.

The Belgian joined Manchester United last summer from Everton for a transfer fee of £27.5m and still has four years left on his contract.

The 26-year-old has failed to stamp his authority at Old Trafford since his arrival and he has still to score his first goal for the club.

With the arrival of new manager Louis van Gaal and an expected shake up in the squad, Fellaini’s future at the club is under a cloud.

Last month the Belgium international midfielder did say that he wanted to remain at the club and impress the new manager, claiming to also be happy at Old Trafford.

“We'll see what the new coach brings”, Fellaini said.

"But I still feel good at United."

But with Napoli sporting director Bigon being spotted with Fellaini and two agents, speculation that a move to Italy for the Belgian is on the cards will surface.

Napoli are believed to be interested in signing the tall midfielder on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United.

Fellaini is currently on holiday and Van Gaal has still not seen the Belgian in action for the club. It remains to be seen whether the Dutchman is ready to dump the midfielder without giving him an opportunity to play under him.
