Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has explained that he is counting on Radamel Falcao to remain at the club for next season, and will field him in the Emirates Cup.

The Colombian international joined the French outfit from Atletico Madrid last season and scored nine league goals before suffering extensive knee ligament damage in January.

Falcao was ruled out for the rest of the 2013/14 campaign, and also missed the 2014 World Cup in Brazil due to the injury.

However, the striker has been heavily linked with a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid throughout the summer.

But Jardim, who expects Falcao to return to action in the Emirates Cup at the weekend, feels the 28-year-old will remain at the Stade Louis II when the club's domestic season starts against Lorient on 10th August.
