Xherdan Shaqiri's brother and agent has revealed that talks with interested parties are "on ice" until a round of talks with the winger's current club Bayern Munich.

The Switzerland international has been linked with a number of clubs this summer with Liverpool, Juventus and Monaco all watching developments closely.

Shaqiri ended last season at the Allianz Arena unhappy at having been overlooked for key games and vowing not to repeat the experience, while he also cast doubt on the strength of his relationship with coach Pep Guardiola.

But Bayern Munich have been clear that they are not looking to cash in on the 22-year-old and Shaqiri's brother, Erdin, insists further talks with the German champions are on the agenda first.

"Currently there are no talks with other clubs", Erdin explained to Sport Bild.

"Our first contact is FC Bayern and we have put talks with other clubs on ice.

"We were told clearly and unmistakably that Xherdan is held in good standing with club officials at FC Bayern.

"However, we will now have to see how the next talks with Bayern's officials pan out, so that we can find an optimal solution."
