AC Milan boss Filippo Inzaghi has vowed to work hard with his team in order to bounce back from the disappointment of two consecutive friendly losses.

The Rossoneri suffered their second straight loss as they went down 5-1 to reigning Premier League champions Manchester City on Sunday.

The defeat follows Friday's 3-0 loss against Olympiacos, putting the new manager under pressure well before the start of the new season.

However, the former Juventus player has refused to be bowed down by pressure, promising to continue with his work in order to strengthen his team ahead of the gruelling domestic season.

"It’s in front of everybody’s eyes that we have to improve in lots of areas", the 40-year-old told his club's official site.

"We’ve not been working long and we come off the back of an eighth place finish. We have to work a great deal.

"I will continue working with this squad and when we’re all in shape and we have everyone we definitely won’t be the side from the past two matches.

"I think that once we’re a complete group we can be competitive in the league."
