Barcelona want Juan Cuadrado to force Fiorentina into sanctioning his sale in the current transfer window.

The Colombian winger has been one of the primary targets of the Catalan giants and the club have been trying to work out a deal for him throughout the summer.

Cuadrado is believed to be keen on moving to the Nou Camp, but Fiorentina’s financial demands are turning out to be a hindrance.

La Viola secured the winger on a permanent deal from Udinese last month and are not willing to sanction his sale for anything less than €40m.

The Blaugrana are believed to be unwilling to meet those financial demands and want Cuadrado to force the issue with the Italian club, according to Marca.

Barcelona believe that if the Colombian takes a tough stance then Fiorentina will be forced to water down their financial demands and a deal can be worked out.

The Spanish giants will face stiff competition from Manchester United and it is claimed that the Red Devils have already placed a €38m bid for Cuadrado.

Barcelona are aware of Manchester United’s financial muscle, thus, they would like to work out a deal for the winger as quickly as possible.
