New Arsenal signing David Ospina feels that he is representing his country Colombia in English football.

The shot-stopper completed his switch from French outfit Nice to Arsenal earlier this week on a five-year contract.

“I very much [feel I am representing Colombia with this move]”, the Colombian custodian told Arsenal's official site.

Ospina was part of the Colombian squad that garnered praise for their performances in the World Cup in Brazil, reaching the quarter-finals.

The goalkeeper explained that the Colombians are proud of their national team players and every time he is on the football pitch he is representing his people back home.

He also has earned 48 international caps for Colombia.
