Juventus are making tentative plans to move for Fredy Guarin in the event they lose midfielder Arturo Vidal to Manchester United.

The Bianconeri are still hoping to keep hold of the Chile international, despite strong interest from Manchester United. However, Vidal has left the door open for a possible exit, while his agent is arriving in Italy this week for crunch talks with the Serie A champions.

Juventus know they may end up cashing in on the 27-year-old, especially if a substantial bid arrives, and plans are already afoot in the event Vidal does depart.

And according to Italian daily Tuttosport, selling Vidal would result in Juventus moving to snap up Guarin from Inter as a replacement.

Juventus are firm fans of Guarin and came close to signing him from the Nerazzurri in January this year.

The Colombian eventually stayed put and signed a new contract with Inter, but Juventus' interest has not gone away and will be rekindled if Vidal leaves.

The coming week is now set to be crucial in determining whether Vidal stays put or switches to Manchester United.
