Napoli are talking to Manchester United over a potential deal for Marouane Fellaini, but the Red Devils are only interested in selling the Belgian midfielder.

Manchester United splashed £27.5m to snap up Fellaini from Everton last summer, however are now ready to send him on his way just a year later.



Napoli are looking at adding the Belgian, but favour taking him on a season-long loan deal before committing to a permanent purchase. The Serie A side's sporting director Riccardo Bigon was reported to have held talks with the player and his agent yesterday, but Napoli played down that suggestion.

According to Sky Italia, the Azzurri have been informed by Manchester United that a sale is their preferred option of parting with the former Everton man, ruling out a loan.

 


Louis van Gaal's men have slapped a €25m asking price on the Belgium international's head and it is not year clear whether they will negotiate over the fee.
