Liverpool have completed the signing of striker Divock Origi from French Ligue 1 outfit Lille.

Origi is thought to have cost the Reds a fee in the region of €13m and has been loaned back to Lille for the upcoming campaign as part of the deal.



The Anfield club announced: "Liverpool Football Club have confirmed the signing of Divock Origi from Lille."

The striker, who represented Belgium at this summer's World Cup, quickly declared his delight at the move.

 


"I am very, very happy and delighted a club as big as Liverpool showed interest in me. I'm very excited.

Origi made 30 appearances in Ligue 1 for Lille last term, scoring five goals.
