Paris Saint-Germain are willing to throw Marco Verratti into the deal to sign Angel di Maria from Real Madrid.

Di Maria is believed to be on his way out of the Santiago Bernabeu this summer and Manchester United and PSG are the top contenders to sign him.

New Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal wants to add Di Maria’s attacking quality to his squad at Old Trafford, but the Argentine is believed to be more interested in moving to Paris.

However, PSG are struggling to put together a financial package to offer to Real Madrid without upsetting UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules.

The Parisians are assessing options to sign the Argentine and are considering making Verratti part of the deal to sign Di Maria, according to Le 10 Sport.

Real Madrid have maintained an interest in the Italian midfielder and reports emerged last month that Carlo Ancelotti was keen to sign the former Pescara man.

The young midfielder is a sought-after talent in Europe and PSG’s willingness to part with him shows how desperate the French champions are to bring Di Maria to France this summer.
