Serie A giants Lazio are keen to add one more Dutch defender to their ranks and are eyeing a deal for Aston Villa’s Ron Vlaar.

Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij is on the verge of joining the club and he is in Italy to complete his switch from Feyenoord to Lazio.

The Roman club are keen to add one more defender to their squad and are interested in signing Vlaar from Aston Villa this summer, according to LaLazioSiamoNoi.

Vlaar and De Vrij formed a robust central defensive partnership for the Netherlands in the World Cup, where the Oranje finished third in the tournament.

Lazio are keen to see Vlaar and De Vrij combine again at the Stadio Olimpico next season and are assessing options to sign the 29-year-old.
