Genoa are just one step away from securing Iago Falque from Tottenham Hotspur, with the Italian side having exchanged documents with the north London outfit to sign the Spaniard.

The 24-year-old winger, who joined Spurs from Juventus permanently in 2012, has had three loan spells away from White Hart Lane, and is surplus to requirements at the club.

And Falque, who has enjoyed loan stints with Southampton, Almeria and Rayo Vallecano, is just a medical away from joining Genoa.

According to Sky Italia, Falque will be in Italy tomorrow to undergo a medical with the Rossoblu, after which he will sign a contract to formalise his move.

The 24-year-old will join Genoa on an outright basis.

Falque joined Spurs from Juventus, initially on loan, before making his move permanent in January 2012.

The winger struggled to make an impact however and soon found himself loaned out to build up first team experience.
