Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Italian winger Alessio Cerci from Serie A outfit Torino.

Cerci joined the Turin-based club in 2012 from Fiorentina and still has two years left on his contract.

Diego Simeone wants to bolster his attacking options ahead of the start of the new season and has made the 27-year-old a key transfer target.

Los Colchoneros are ready to offer around €20m to convince Torino to sanction the Italian’s sale this summer, according to Marca.

The Spanish champions are looking to strengthen their squad before their title defence starts next month and Cerci’s addition would provide more options for Simeone.

Torino bought Cerci for around €8m from Fiorentina and they could make a considerable profit on him if they accept Atletico Madrid’s offer this summer.

Cerci has made 73 appearances for Il Toro, scoring 21 goals and providing 24 assists. He has also earned 13 international caps for Italy.

Premier League outfit Everton are also reportedly interested in signing the winger this summer.
