Inter have not ruled out snapping up Javier Hernandez from Manchester United this summer, with the Nerazzurri having held a recent meeting with the striker's agent.

The Mexican international grew frustrated at a lack of first team football at Old Trafford last term and it is not yet clear whether his situation will improve under the club's new manager Louis van Gaal.

Inter locked horns with Manchester United in the International Champions Cup recently, an event which allowed the club to meet Hernandez's agent, according to Sky Italia.

The Italian giants reaffirmed their admiration for Hernandez, who remains on a list of potential striking additions.

However, the Nerazzurri have other candidates, with Pablo Osvaldo, surplus to requirements at Southampton, a possible addition.

Hernandez has interest from elsewhere too, with Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone having admitted to being keen on the Mexico international.

The final decision however lies with Van Gaal and it remains to be seen whether the Dutchman is prepared to sell Hernandez.
