Southampton are keen on doing a deal for Inter midfielder Ezequiel Schelotto, as they bid to replace a number of their departed stars.

The Saints have offloaded Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Dejan Lovren and Calum Chambers this summer, while striker Pablo Osvaldo is also nearing the exit door.

New boss Ronald Koeman is quickly trying to replace his departed players and, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, is a firm fan of Schelotto.

Southampton are preparing to loan Osvaldo to Inter, the striker having had frequent disciplinary issues at St. Mary's, and could take Nerazzurri midfielder Saphir Taider on loan as part of the deal.

They also want Schelotto however, who is an Italian international despite being born in Argentina.
