Lazio’s move for Aston Villa’s Ron Vlaar is in jeopardy as Juventus are eyeing a deal for the Dutch international defender.

Vlaar’s future at Villa Park has been under a barrage of speculation since the start of this week and Lazio are preparing a bid to snatch the defender away from England.

However, Aston Villa are believed to be demanding around €10m for the defender, who has only one year left on his contract; Lazio are not willing to go beyond €7m though.

The Biancocelesti are dithering on the deal and now face competition for Vlaar's signature in the form of Juventus.

The Bianconeri are in the market to sign defenders and have marked out Vlaar as a potential transfer target for this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
