Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has insisted that Morgan Schneiderlin will not be leaving the club this summer.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, but Saints chairman Ralph Krueger insisted earlier this week that the midfielder is not for sale.

Koeman is also singing from the same hymn sheet as his chairman and has stressed that the player is not going anywhere.

"He is a player of Southampton and will continue to be”, the Dutchman was quoted as saying by the BBC.

Schneiderlin posted a cryptic tweet this week that suggested that he ready to leave the club and the former Feyenoord manager has confirmed that he has reprimanded the player for his behavior.

"He is OK, he will play next week", Koeman said.

"I spoke with him about that tweet. Always you have to keep that type of information inside and we spoke about that and his situation."

Schneiderlin has made 226 appearances for the Saints since joining the club in 2008 from French outfit Strasbourg and even played for the club in League One, English football’s third tier.
