Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose has revealed that working under new manager Mauricio Pochettino has been a "brilliant" experience.

The 24-year-old signed a new five-year deal with the Lilywhites yesterday and will remain at White Hart Lane until June 2019.




And with his future now sorted out, the former Leeds United player has his targets set on excelling for his team and is also ecstatic about the way things have been progressing under new boss Pochettino.

“Working under Mauricio has been brilliant", Rose told his club's official site.

The team from north London have been in good form of late, having won two of their three pre-season friendlies in the United States, a fact that delights the former England Under-21 international.

"It’s been a hard couple of weeks, but we’ve just got back from North America where we went through our first three games unbeaten.

"So we’re all happy and everyone has a good understanding of what the manager wants to implement."

Tottenham play Scottish champions Celtic on Saturday at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium.
