Joel Campbell has sought to play down speculation he could move to AC Milan by insisting he is proud to be at Arsenal.

The Costa Rica forward was watched in action by Milan officials in the Emirates Cup at the weekend, while they then held a meeting with Campbell's agent.

Milan expressed their desire to sign the former Olympiacos man, while Campbell's agent revealed his client would be open to moving to the San Siro if Arsenal made him available.

But now Campbell has made his thoughts on his future clear, writing on his Twitter account: "Proud to be a Gunner."

The forward also posted a photo of himself wearing his Arsenal shirt with the number 28.

Campbell was on target in Arsenal's 5-1 rout of Benfica in the Emirates Cup on Saturday, although they went down to a 1-0 defeat to Monaco yesterday.
