Leeds United have officially confirmed the signing of AC Milan starlet Zan Benedicic on a season-long loan deal.

The Yorkshire giants have been chasing the Slovenian and increasingly turned in his direction when a deal to sign Roma midfielder Federico Viviani broke down.

Leeds faced a tough time convincing Milan to part with Benedicic however, with the club's new coach, Filippo Inzaghi, having coached the 18-year-old midfielder at youth level and being a firm fan of his talents.

However, now the Slovenian youngster will continue his career at Elland Road.

Benedicic becomes the latest acquisition from an Italian club this summer for Leeds.
