Celtic skipper Scott Brown is convinced that his side can overturn their 4-1 Champions League third qualifying round first leg defeat against Legia Warsaw on Wednesday.

The Scottish champions face a tall order against the Polish club and must score at least three goals to have any chance of progressing to the next round of the competition.

The match will also be played away from their Celtic Park home, taking place at Murrayfield.

But Brown believes Celtic have enough quality to pull off a comeback, especially with a vociferous crowd behind them.

"It’s going to be hard because we need three goals and we need to show them how good we are. But I believe that we can do it", he said via his club's feed.

"Everyone knows it was a disappointing result and it was hard to take. But we've got a chance to go and put it right, and I'm sure we will."

Brown also draws inspiration from last season's tie against Kazakhstani club Shakhter Karagandy, who beat Celtic 2-0 in the first leg in Kazakhstan only to taste a 3-0 defeat in the return in Scotland.

"The Shakhter game last season was huge for us – we scored three goals then and we’re going to have to do it again this week", explained the midfielder.
