Marseille have rebuffed interest from Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur in midfielder Florian Thauvin.

Thauvin has long been tipped for the top, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger dubbing him one of the great hopes of French football.

According to French radio station RMC, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham have moved to try and sign the attacking midfielder, only for Marseille to make clear they have no intention of selling their starlet.

Indeed, Marseille president Vincent Labrune is adamant that Thuavin will stay at the Stade Velodrome this summer.

Marseille snapped up the 21-year-old from Lille last summer, with Thauvin not having played a single game for the northern French side, having only landed earlier that same year; he spent the 2012/13 campaign with Bastia, Lille loaning him back to the club to complete the season after buying him in January.

Thauvin then forced an exit from Lille, with Marseille paying €15m to sign the midfielder, who penned a five-year deal at the Stade Velodrome.

The Grenoble youth product has yet to win a senior cap for France.
