Leicester City target Oscar Cardozo has joined Trabzonspor from Benfica, the Portuguese club have announced.

The 31-year-old striker scored 165 goals in 287 appearances in all competitions for the Eagles during his seven-year stay at the Estadio da Luz.




Cardozo, who moved to Benfica from Newell's Old Boys in 2007, helped the club to win two league titles, one Portuguese Cup and five Portuguese League Cups.

And the Paraguayan international thanked everyone associated with the club for making his stay in Lisbon memorable.
 


"I am very grateful to this club. This is my home”, he told Benfica’s official site.

Cardozo, who has 49 caps and nine goals for Paraguay to his name, represented his nation at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

He made a total of 32 appearances in the 2013/14 campaign for Benfica, netting 11 times.
