Aly Cissokho could be poised to get another bite at the Premier League cherry by joining Aston Villa on loan.

The left-back spent last season on loan at Liverpool, but was unable to persuade Reds boss Brendan Rodgers to move to keep him on a permanent basis.

Cissokho is out of favour at current club Valencia however and is looking for pastures new for the upcoming campaign.

According to Radio Marca, he could link up with Paul Lambert's Aston Villa for a loan stint, with the English side talking over a loan with Valencia.

Cissokho made 15 appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool last term, helping the Reds finish as runners-up.
