Alexandre Lacazette insists he has decided to remain with Lyon for at least one further season, amid links with Liverpool and Newcastle United.

The striker has been mooted as a target for both Premier League clubs, but Lyon have been battling to keep him at the Stade Gerland, even talking terms over a new contract.

And Lacazette has been convinced to remain with Les Gones for 2014/15, revealing his decision following the club's 2-0 Ligue 1 win over Rennes earlier today.

"I've made the decision to stay for one year or more", the striker told Canal +.

Lacazette scored Lyon's second of the match against Rennes, hitting the back of the net from the penalty spot.
