Belgian giants Standard Liege have ended the developing transfer saga surrounding attacking midfielder Jeff Louis by signing him to a five-year contract.

Louis had been on his way to Standard Liege from French side Nancy on Friday, but a dispute over a bonus payment added onto the fee by the Ligue 2 club saw the deal collapse.

The 22-year-old quickly had offers on the table from Scottish champions Celtic and United Arab Emirates outfit Al-Jazira, but explained Standard Liege remained his priority.

And Louis has made good on his word by this evening penning a contract which runs until 2019 with the Jupiler Pro League club.

Standard Liege announced: "Standard Liege, AS Nancy and Jeff Louis have reached an agreement.
