Denmark coach Morten Olsen has warned Nicklas Bendtner that he is drinking in the last chance saloon with his switch to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.

Bendtner has been dogged by controversy in recent years and was released by English giants Arsenal earlier this summer, sending him in search of a new club.

He has now landed at Wolfsburg on a three-year contract and Olsen has urged the Denmark international not to waste the opportunity which has been handed to him.

Indeed, should Bendtner blow his chance at the Volkswagen Arena, Olsen feels the 26-year-old will not receive another opportunity at a sizeable club.

"You can expect him to live up to the demands, he can live up to them if he wants to", Olsen told DR Sporten.

"He has reached an age where he absolutely needs to concentrate on being a footballer and nothing else.

"The opportunity that he has now, he simply can't throw it away because I do not think there will be more opportunities.

"This is his chance. There is a good manager, a good coach and good quality in the squad.

"He can make them even better. It is up to him."

Bendtner featured in just nine Premier League games for Arsenal last season, hitting the back of the net twice.

During his time at the Emirates Stadium, Bendtner enjoyed loan stints at Birmingham City, Sunderland and Juventus.
