Sevilla have confirmed the signing of Barcelona starlet Gerard Deulofeu on a season-long loan deal.

The 20-year-old, who is a product of Barcelona’s youth set-up, spent the 2013/14 campaign on loan at Premier League side Everton.

Deulofeu had an impressive stint with the Toffees, for whom he netted four goals in 29 appearances in all competitions, in addition to providing five assists.

The winger, who has a single senior cap for Spain to his name, has also represented his country at various youth levels.

Deulofeu helped the Iberian nation to win the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in 2011 and 2012, and won the Golden Ball in the latter edition.

The youngster, whose present contract with Barcelona runs until the summer of 2015, has thus far made just six senior appearances for the club.

He has been loaned to Sevilla to witness more first-team action, something which he would have found hard to come by at the Camp Nou.
